Name at schoolJoshua Tie (2010)What have you been doing since school?Well after school we had the best time on Schoolies! For those of you wanting a nice place with your mates near a beach and a small amount of other schoolies peeps definately go to Noosa!Other than that various catch ups and having a relaxing time. This year however I am going to Macquarie University to do a Bachelor of Commerce and hopefully Law next year :D however i am still keeping my options open to join the Australian Defence Force. Funniest school memory?Well, I have many MANY memories of funny things that happen and to pick the 'funniest' would almost seem unfair for some occasions. But I can definately say that my Modern History Classes with Mr Smithies as well as Commerce with Mr Low was the highest point of 'Funny' at Covie.Modern History included hiding and taping to the roof Mr Smithies' laptop, pens, family photo etc.. before class. This took up 1/4 of lesson time and resulted in a never ending period of laughter. This funny moment was reinforced by jokes made to certain historical characters such as Rasputin, Bismarc, Mao as well as JFK with his famous 'Ich bin ein Berliner' speech. Commerce set the pace going for year 9 - 10. Mr Low's 2nd year of teaching definately boosted morale for the majority of the class. His interesting teaching methods have got to be in the top 3 of funny moments for my time at Covie. Again endless periods of laughter created by just a chocolate bar's characteristics of 'Fun size', ... More like "Dweb King". Most memorable moment?A Year 12 Common room confidentially planted next to the main sewerage system.Favourite teacher and why?All the teachers which have taught me throughout my high school career are AWESOME. I was so lucky to have them. However my favourites would have to be Mr Smithies - Putting up with our Jokes (pranks) Mr Low - Making us laugh and being there when needed Mrs Riley - Making Economics REALLY interesting with her impromptu random dancing to Rick Astley and EXTREME use of hand gestures. With this also, her 'Night Owl' status for being there when we needed prior to Assignments due / exams at 3 am! Mr Gray - Just being Mr Gray with his own vocab "Push comes to shove" What I loved about Covenant?Free periods and the anticipation of "We are watching a movie this period"My facebook linkhttp://www.facebook.com/joshua.tieMy myspace linkWho uses myspace nowadays? My linkedin |
